VFW VFW Post 6159 Clements Post Taylor Ne was established in 1946. Today the Post meets on the 1st Thursday of each month @ 7:30 pm. At the Loup County Event Center meeting for Ladies in the kitchen, men in meeting room.

Emergency Services Taylor is home to Region 26 which is the 911 communications center for Loup and several surrounding counties. This dispatch center is critical to central Nebraska's emergency and safety programs. Loup County is proud of its excellent volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad complete with village and rural fire fighting units as well as an ambulance unit and several capable EMT's scattered throughout the country. Library Taylor Library hours are Tuesday 11:00 am to 3:00 pm Thursday 1:00 to 5:00 pm @ 106 Williams ST. The Library offers numerous books for all ages, research the Taylor Clarion newspaper now on Computer, and Micro Film (dating back to 1893), a computer available, free WiFi, also a collection of 52 cake pans for check out and use. The lower level of the Library sports a large kitchen and meeting room perfect for family events and special occasions to rent for $20.00. Loup County Public School Loup County Public School was formed in 1971 and is part of ESU 10 district. This K-12 school was the proud home of the Wildcats until 2011. The Loup County School has combined with the neightboring town of Sargent for sports, as well as band and choir. The schools decided on a new name, Twin Loup; mascot, Wolves; and colors, maroon, white, and silver. The school prides itself on providing all students the necessary learning opportunities to succeed in a changing world. Post Office The Taylor Post Office is located at the corner of Hwy 183 and Murry Street on the northeast side of the square and offers complete U.S. Mail Services. For more info call 308-942-6090.
County Court House The Loup County Court House is located on the West side of the square and is home to county services including county clerk, judge, sheriff, treasurer, and weed superintendent. Taylor Community Center The Taylor Community Center was added to the west side of the Taylor square in 1988. This centrally located building is great for a variety of functions including meetings, parties, reunions, and more. A small kitchen is also available. Fire Department In 2010, the Loup County Volunteer Fire Department built a new multi-stall building in Taylor. The new building not only houses fire rigs and equipment but also provides much needed room for meetings and volunteer training. The fire department is one of the most active groups in the community and responds to emergencies in Taylor and rural Loup County. They also provide mutual aid to surrounding counties when needed. Loup County Event Center The construction of the new building was completed in August 2015 for the Loup County World's Fair. With new and modern facilities the entire building is handicap accessible. The building is available for rent for small local group meetings like VFW post. To large events like Wedding Receptions, Reunions, Dances, and Displays.
